A local Home Depot has this Ridgid table saw on clearance

Normal price $549, sale price of $299!!! ARGH!!! If only I had the room for it!!! Also I just scored a really nice Delta radial arm saw last week so the warden wouldn't have been happy to see ANOTHER saw in the garage.

Buy it!
Dump the radial arm and get a miter saw - the only thing you can do better on a radial arm than you can do on a table saw and miter saw is half lap joints with a dado blade......and there's other ways to do that.
Sold my radial arm a few years ago.....haven't missed it once....but I do like the extra space that I got.

I got my R4511 the same way, on clearance. It works very well and was an outstanding value. No regrets.
I really don't understand HD's plan with regard to selling larger tools like this. They offer them for sale, but they don't make space for them in their store. I can't imagine that they sell very many when they're only available by special order, and you cannot see them before buying. After not selling, they then close out the current model and repeat with a new model.

I got the granite topped one after a tip from this site - for the same price. Awesome saw. Even better for the price.
