Yes I have, I have a Carvewright carver that I import stl files to, works pretty well.
But remember to check the file for line breaks etc.

Well, I'm actually trying to find the easiest way to convert the 3D sketchup image to a 2D face layout for CNC or Laser cutting. I found a number of plug-ins for converting the SKP files to DWG and DXF format which is only part of the problem. The other is dissasembling the 3D model into a 2D axis for importing into a CNC machine.
I found this plug in called Phlatscript that does just that...never used it before so if anyone can share some knowledge in getting this done. There is also a cutlist plugin available for Sketchup but again, never used any of these before.
Thanks

Well I've been on that forum and the owners are quite friendly and probably wouldn't mind questions.
I actually thought on buying the Phlatprinter they sell, had a very wild idea of cutting the cab parts out of foam and laminating with resin.

Edit: I played around with the phlatscript as it was free not bad, again ask right on there forum nice bunch of people.
