I was reading this article this morning and thought I should share it. Piezos, avoiding line arrays do to political views, incredible waste. Very entertaining and even raises an interesting question about SPL charts. Well enjoy

They add 3db, kind of like V-plating. I for one am going to put thunderbolts on all my subs. Perhaps a wing like on a car, to keep them in place when serious lows hit.

Too funny. Sad part is that some may take it seriously.

"Close-miking the woofer was impractical because the woofer’s high output levels made it impossible to get anywhere near it, even when the speaker cables were disconnected."

I just figured it out......Lirpa is April backwards.....as in April Fool.
I was a bit slow on the uptake too.

Don't know about Leland and his inventory, but I do have the decals which add 3db each. Let me know, they're only $200 a pair. Hey, it's always cheaper than building a second speaker.
For reference, I use four on my t39; that covers about everything.

In truth it's an unwitting self-parody. Read the real reviews on that site (or any other, really) and you'll find them to more of the same. A bit lighter on the hyperbole, but only a bit.

Voodoo Duratex.
3db gain, massive articulation gains, ruler flat response from any cab.
Risks associated with use: Cabs may become zombies if overdriven, growing teeth and eating the IC chips out of equipment.

This is no lie, folks. No, really. I know a guy who knows a guy who painted his ported 12" car enclosure and it made it louder.
If that doesn't convince you, I don't know what will.
Next up on my to do list is to try out the different paints and see which one has the most gain and how to properly apply it. I'm so hoping is the red shiny one

Wish me luck!
Test results will be posted whenever I want
