..of ply scrap to become a nuisance!



This trailer load is left over from about 8 mths of builds and I had to get it out of my workshop otherwise I wouldn't feel right issuing 5 HarleyStar tidy workshop awards.

The problem is I cannot put a pot-belly stove into the garage to burn the scraps because the local council will not issue me a permit due to the risk of a stove in a woodwork shop, plus the winters hardly get cold enough to warrant. The War Office gave me the double handled teapot stare when I tried burning it on our fireplace in the lounge so that was out too.

The only option for me now is to take it to the tip. That tipping fees are $65.00

...or speak nicely to my boss and trickle feed it into the Jumbo-bin at work

And... no smart arse comments about the trailer. It's not mine, but it has current registration, a current Warrant of Fitness and all the lights work

Make a burn pit, burn it, use the ashes as garden fertilizer.

There's only two wheelbarrows there, one rusty, one red. That's one for each of our two youngest sons, when the serious work around the section needs doing.

Besides. some people have two budgies...me, I have two wheelbarrows.

By asking people to PAY to dump, they're encouraging people to take their stuff out into the wilderness to dump it. That's just plain stooopid.

Here in Pahrump, there's no charge for residents to take stuff to the dump, yet there are still a lot of people who are too lazy, or don't want to spend the gas money to go to the dump, so they dump it in the desert. It really sucks when I'm way out in the middle of nowhere, riding my horse and enjoying nature, and I come upon a truckload of someone's ignorantly discarded furniture, appliances, car parts, trash, etc. Makes me wanna leave THEM out in the desert!

It's free here. Twice a year, they even come get the stuff themselves: you make a nice pile in front of the house and it's gone the next day. There must be some advantages to live back here.

I won't show a pic of my trailer. Yours (ok, you can admit it's yours now...) looks very nice to me compared to mine.

They did that once a year when I lived in the Chicago suburbs. Great encouragement for people to clean-up their houses and yards. Some folks had BIG piles!

Nail all the pieces together and sell the conglomeration as art... You really only need to be sure to use the words "organic", "existentialism" and "recycled medium" to qualify it as art.
