Carvin Concert Series mixers

Anybody have one/use one?
I have an opportunity to get a 24 ch model for a decent price. It isn't the current model, but it's rather recent. I'm leaning this way for a couple reasons, but the main being it has 4 monitor level controls per channel. I've not found anything like that in this price range ($500ish). Monitor mix is pretty key in my current band.
I don't need 24 ch, 16 would do. But again, for the price I'll hall it.
Any experience/thoughts would be appreciated.

Carvin electronics sound quite good. I now run one of their RX1200L powered mixers and it sounds very good, amazing actually considering the 18 pound weight.

The knobs are small, and there are no sliders, so it's not nearly as easy to use as a regular style board. I run mine from the stage as a set it and forget it, so there's no problem there for me. My only outboard gear is a compressor, a nice ART with downward expanders to gate between songs.

greetings
i have a carvin 8 channel powered mxr for backup. sounds great but i never use it . have been using their 8 channel non powered mixer for years with their XD88 and their new 10 and 14 pound amps. excellent sound and tons of features with their mixers. verb & delay are good, can use both at the same time. 4 sub groups, so on. great stuff

Hi,
I've been using the 16 channel version for about 3-4 years a couple times a month with no issues. Do get the road case for protection.
Nice having the 4 monitor sends.
hope this helps
Chris

I used a 24 channel concert series last week at a show. They said it was about a year old. The eqs were decent, but the tracks had noticable bleed through, and alot (about half) of the pots and faders were scratchy and 'pop'y. I wouldn't rely on the built in effects either.
Carvin makes alot of good products, but in last week's experience, this isn't one of em.
