XTI DSP

Anyone using XTI's DSP for EQ at gigs?
I have a little rack bag with the XTI1000 wired to an Alesis MultiMix 8 USB that lives in the pouch. This is my band's practice and small bar gig when the StudioLive and amp rack is just too much. Plug in power, roll out the 30' 8ch snake lead and 30' NL4 speaker lead from the back of the bag, and ready to roll. Might be a decent solution for an acoustic PA with Jack10s and only a few line requirements.
Anyways, should one really have a Graphic EQ in addition to the DSP in the Crowns? It seems as though the Crowns can do PEQ on the input and output signals. So I have customized the output for speakers (decent but not great) but then I was thinking about using the input PEQ and laptop at gigs for ringing out the system, notching naughty freqs, and warming up the tone for the room.
Thoughts?
