Hey Guys,

i have a gig in a week and just picked up a BBE DS24 that i needed as a DSP. Problem is? The directions really dont give any direction.

Looking for input on how to setup certain setting to ensure i dont blow anything up. I am running Jack 12 tops with the 3012HO's and a Tuba 30 with the 3012LF.

I am just looking on some input. I installed the program and I'm completely lost. This is new territory for me so please be easy.

Ok first off the setting I am using is 2 way mono sub crossover. Id like to have stereo coming out of the tops and a mono signal going to the sub, eventually subs.

I click on input gain A. Any input on this screen that opens up?

These are my settings so far. Please let me know if anything needs changing. I'm planning on sending Output 1 to the Tuba, Output 2 and 4 to the tops.

Looks like you're pretty close, but use 48db Linkwitz Reilly slopes if that's an option. L-R sums to unity at the crossover point, with Butterworth you'll have a hump at the crossover point. If you must use butterworth, seperate the crossover points a bit (95 LP on subs, 105 HP on tops, for instance) to help eliminate this "hump."

Ok just swapped to Link-Riley on all outputs. Im guessing we should be all set now right? I have no idea why but ill go with it. Thanks Brent for the help!

Looking at it, now I have to limit my amps. I'm not sure what i have to change on this tab. Anyone able to help? I'm guessing it be best to limit the subs/tops/amps to 45 volts output. Not sure how to do so, heres what i show.

Set attacks to 0. You'll need something to generate test tones. Use 60-80hz for subs, and something over 200hz for tops (1k is kind of standard). Play the tones through the system with the amps at full trim and speakers disconencted. Use an AC multimeter to measure amp outputs. Reduce the threshold (probably "Level" in your system) until the voltage reaches the target.
