1-Could you point me out to a direction on to amp head for jack 10 for singer guitarist that will take FULL advantage of jack10 with delta2510?
2-would adding small 5band EQ to the this amp board will be good approach?http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdet ... er=300-797 (planing on ver very compact slef contained system)
3-and speaking of EQ-are they also wattage specific so they do not damage it self or other connected equipment?
Thank you.
4-How about Bass amp?Same questions(yes i should go 12" but 10" would have to do for mild bass playing or what do you think)
Thank you

I can build amp if i have good direction,or retrofit amp(older amp and take the parts out in my custom box)
to make it look like this:

I'd buy a 4U roadcase and here's what I'll load in it:

- 1U Mixer with preamps.
- 1U 31 band EQ
- 2U Lightweight poweramp

Versatile and fully upgradeable setup.

1) Any amp that will do 250 WRMS @ 8 Ohm is fine. The rest is personal preference.

2) You really need at least 15 bands of EQ, preferable 31 bands. 5 band and the Q between filters is just too much.

3) No. They are in the low voltage signal side of the audio chain. Before the amps.

4) See answer #1, but generally speaking, no. Most bass amps have some coloration to them, making them unsuitable for vocal or music playback.

If you can build as nice as Zolko W did, more power to you! But, read my signature. It doesn't have to be pretty to work.

Each band of the eq will adjust too many frequencies. The 100 hz slider doesn't just adjust 100 hz, it adjusts a wide band of frequencies on either side of 100 hz. More bands equals narrower bands on either side of the freq.

1. Any PA power amplifier able to supply up to 250W @ 8 ohms would be sufficient. Pick based on your budget and what is available to you. Personally I'm a fan of the Behringer EP2500 or EP4000 series; good performance for the price. Very reliable.
2. A 5 band EQ is not enough to tame a Jack's response (or any PA speaker for that matter). You could get close with a 15 band, but a 31 band would be best. Again, I'm a fan of the Behringer 31 band EQ's.
3. The EQ sits between the mixer line outs and the power amplifier line inputs. So no, they are not wattage specific they work with line level.
4. Bass amp could be any bass amp head you can buy that puts out up to 250W RMS to power a Jack 10 w/DLII2510. Literally any amp. A Jack 12 is your or your bass player's preference. The Kappalite 3012HO loaded Jack 12 has been called the "best bass cab available" and is easily built without tweeters.

Your welcome.

Got it in theory. So what is that you gonna face in real time?
Feedback?less control over color of sound?....

Essentially you have to EQ your PA speakers to sound good in each room. The 31 band EQ is a very useful tool for this purpose. EQ your speakers flat outdoors with an RTA (real time analyzer) and then you just have a base EQ to start with that you can tweak for each room. You tweak EQ to help control feedback, room resonances, and generally allow for more overall balanced response so that the sound is full and bright but not fatiguing to the audience.

Anyone using XTI's DSP for EQ at gigs?

I have a little rack bag with the XTI1000 wired to an Alesis MultiMix 8 USB that lives in the pouch. This is my band's practice and small bar gig when the StudioLive and amp rack is just too much. Plug in power, roll out the 30' 8ch snake lead and 30' NL4 speaker lead from the back of the bag, and ready to roll. Might be a decent solution for an acoustic PA with Jack10s and only a few line requirements.

Anyways, should one really have a Graphic EQ in addition to the DSP in the Crowns? It seems as though the Crowns can do PEQ on the input and output signals. So I have customized the output for speakers (decent but not great) but then I was thinking about using the input PEQ and laptop at gigs for ringing out the system, notching naughty freqs, and warming up the tone for the room.

Thoughts?
