We are in the process of finally building the Tuba 30s. In fact after a hard weekend of making the first "Sixteen" perfect we have wrapped our mind around what it means to build these. About 6 months ago I purchased the plans and 4 Eminence 3012LFs. Originally I was going to build 4 30" T30s but we decided to try a couple of configurations to have a more versatile rig and we wanted to do measurements and compare them to some other subs we have in our arsenal. More on that later for now here's some build pics.

We are now starting on the 2nd "Sixteen". I love how small these little guys are. I know there is ~5dB to be had with the wider iteration which we'll have with our other pair I am really interested to see how these "Sixteens" compare to my KSubs. They are small and light and will be easy to pack out. Since I am sure it will come up we are using a 5 ply fir 15/32" that we got @ Home Depot for $27/4x8 sheet. We were able to pick sheets with very little or no warping and it has been a serious help in assembly process. Further, no matter how much I warned them the guys helping me build just had no idea how messy PL Premium can be.
For those of you considering a build if you STICK TO THE PLANS you'll do just fine.

Out of curiosity, are you making sure that the horn paths are of the correct sizes/widths?

Following the plans exactly.

I should clarify...are you compensating for the extra panel width?

Non sequitur.

It's 12mm.
aka 1/2" in the modern metric world we all live in.

Where are you from Jason? Good looking build so far, by the way.

Jason, are you putting in all the panel braces after the panels are on, but before the side panels?

We found we get a better, tighter fit by putting the braces in after the panels are in place (the box you are seeing here is our third T30 and first 27"er). We cut the braces to the exact dimensions, apply PL and then nail them in place (braces that fit tight don't need a bunch of nails). We also insert the reflectors at this time. Also note that panels 7,8 and 9 are not permanently installed. We test fit every panel for fitment before to have a tight and solid fit instead of using the "PL and Pray" method.
More pics to come.

Here are some more build pics. These are of the 27" cab and there is one with the slim next to it.
