Hello, I have a pair of Definimax 4012 loaded 24" T30's, a BBE DS24, and an EP2500. I have the HPF set to 35hz buttworth 24db/ octave and LPF set to 92hz. Couple of questions, should I run the amp in bridged or stereo? Could running in bridged mode blow the drivers? I read about the reading the voltage off the amp limiting method, but I'd like to limit with the DSP. What limiter settings should I use if I were to run the setup in bridged mono? Are there any advantages to running in stereo? Sorry about the bombardment of questions, thanks for any info!

dont bridge the amp, you dont need the power, and it probably will toast the drivers. It puts out 500 watts per channel at 8 ohms, so if you run a tuba on each channel, you'll be fine. you could even just run them parellel off of channel one.

raise the lpf a bit, 100hz, maybe a bit higher if you want.

I do not know the method to which you refer, but usually, the limiting is done on the dsp as the amp will simply amplify what is put in (unless you have the xti or similar). But the limiting is the same regardless of the method used: limit for rms power and also taking into consideration the xmax of the driver being used. Don't know if the plans include voltages for your driver, but if not, hopefully someone can chime in with the figures.

Subs are usually run in mono even when separated.

And finally, there's no need to bridge the amp. Unless you want to series the cabs, but at this point, it would be like running one tuba of each of the channels.

And also, yes and what sine said. You might want to raise the LP as it will be very demanding for the tops even the even go that low.

I guess my question on limiting was getting at is: Do I need a multimeter to read the voltage coming from my amp then mess around with the limiter settings on the dsp to get the right voltage when the amp is at full power?
