today i went through and sized all the 23" +- pannels. when i was getting started today (after cutting on side yesterday) that i had not measured my plywood thickness which turns out to be 15/32 which i knew when i bought it but sort of forgot. anyway i couldn't take much of a cut off the other side and them still be 23 1/16 so i made them 23 1/32. no big deal just my box wont be 24" like i planed it will be 23 31/32"
true but anyway. i guess i know i made a mistake.sine143 wrote:djeccentric wrote:i have my first build question. in the plans i don't see exact measurements for laying out the holes for the handles. how are you guys laying them out? sometimes it is just best to ask. i plan to use a hole saw at each end and a jig saw to go between.

uh oh, looks like someone forgot about the added width for corner hardware. I suspect your box will be somewhere around 24 13/32 when you finish and put the corners on.
what I'm trying to say is: as long as it fits, who cares how many 32nds you are off hahaha.

Isn't that someone's quote?

If the crack is really big, stuff extra wood into the crack, and glue liberally.Tom Smit wrote:+1Charles Warwick wrote:All that matters is that it is sealed tight.
