I bought yesterday two of this amplifiers, I belive they are from the 70's $ 4.00 dlls each they work but I don't know if they are for guitar, bass or any other instrument.
They have 2 chanels, each chanel have two inputs, one saids "normal" and the other is "bright", also have two rows of tone controls, bass, middle and trebble and another knob for "reverb", each chanel have a switch???, in the back is the fuse 5 amp. 2 outs for speakers 1 "power amp. in" and one "master amp. out" and one switch for invert fase.
In the inside are pure 70's tech. and a very funny thing, it's a tube with one cable on each extreme on a rca conector, seems to be sealed on the extremes, can you tell me if it's for guitar or bass?

At first I thought it was a valve power amp, with the two switches for standby mode, but quite clearly there are no valves and it looks like the transformer has been replaced.

PA amps don't have bass, middle and treble and bass amps don't have reverb.

So I'm going to say it's a two channel vocal amp for the days when that is all you ran through the PA.

They have one big transformer in one side and another smaller in the other, I really don't know anything on this amps. But if they are for voice they need the reverb. knob?

The tube thing will be a spring reverb. You send the signal in one end and the spring vibrates along it's length and the signal comes out the other end with reverb in it.

Whatever it is I doubt it's more than a 50 watter, the power transformer is too small to support more than that.

Thats reminds me the times when the guitar players kick they amps to make this thing vibrate more, they are suspended in a rubber bands, how can I determinate the power un this amps.?

Give it a reference voltage sine wave input and measure the output A/C voltage.

Check the fuse rating. You get maybe 30 watts per ampere.

That logo looks very similar to the SUNN amp logo. Never seen that specific one before though.

It's a Mexican mark, probably copy from an even older one from USA, the fuse is 5 amp.
There is no forums here for musicians, only for Dj's and they are young fellows and I don't belive they know this mark, maybe I am the oldest one!!!
