How are your racks setup?

I'm thinking of how I want to expand.

Sofar:

-BBE DS48
-OSC PL2.0HV (tops)
-QSC PL4.0 (subs)

Thats the current rack. I usually have an ashly GEQ which I haul out separately. This is housed in a 6RU from audiopile. I'm looking to use the other PL2.0hv I have, and possibly expand and buy another 4.0 soon. This will need a distro. I also would like some mic-level inputs in a 1ru space, just incase - I've done a few gigs where this would have been amazing to have.

So many choices, I'm wondering how everyone is setup for larger shows...

I got two DIY racks made from my t39 scraps. They are both 2u half space. One holds the essentials: dbx drpa, and a behringer multi effects(pretty handy since it has about anything i can think of using). An the other one holds the v-verb and 2 channel compressor; this only goes out for live stuff. Both have no covers and only have about 1 inch overhang on front and back with a chrome handle from home depot ;) As for the amps, I usually just use the behringer mixer combined wiht the drpa. But when more is needed my rolling 6u rack with my two xls's comes out ot play :)

In my BFM rig I'm running 2x racks from audiopile.net. Quality is amazing for the price. Link: http://www.audiopile.net/products/Cases ... page.shtml

Top rack: 2x PLX's w/ DCX2496, this is setup so I can use just this rack for up to 4x OT12's, and 4x T48's. Add the..
Bottom rack: 2x RMX's, now I can run up to 8x OT12's and 8x T48's.

I've got some PL's. The depth doesn't bother me, its when the amps are more than 2 RU. I have a few USA900's I use for for monitor duty, light PA rentals, etc.. they're each racked in a 4RU shallow rack w/ line mixer. Love them for what they are, but they are so awkward being 3 spaces.

Mixer: 6 space rack with stripped down Dell office PC, hosting SAC. 2x ADA8000 and DEQ2496, 16 channels in and out.

Amp: Xti1000 in a separate 4 space rack. It does double duty, included is a 1u preamp so it can also power my bass rig. I'd like to add one or two more power amps, funds are scarce though at this time.

This one is for band use. Everything is connected internally. Power plugs in with a Powercon, add speakers and it's ready to go. Currently though, the amps you see have been replaced with 2-Crown XLS Drivecore. One man can pick this up now to put it in the trailer.

Don't know you already aware of this, but the xls's and the ep don't play well together. The air flow is reversed, so if you have reversed those fans in the behringer, you're just creating a loop of hot air in that rack. It's like mixing qsc and crown amps; they're reversed.

Thanks Seis Ive that covered I reversed the behringer fan they all throw in the same direction... it was supposed to replace that behringer but i love that knockoff it have been with me in the lesser days I do not have heart to trow it in a corner

I Grab the sale on those crowns they are way too cheap to let them pass .....yess they are heavy but not as heavy (the behringer is 10 pounds heavier than the 402 which have about the same amount of juice
