Can you add a brick wall limiter in addition to a DRPA+.
I got to thinking about this and it may be a crazy idea, but I already have the DRPA+ (wish I had bought the 260)
Do any companies make a brick wall limiter that you could use in addition or in place of the soft knee limiting offered
by the DRPA+?
Just a thought

Yes I had the same question a while back. I used a DRPX and just put a behringer stereo compressor limiter with peak limiting after the sub outs and shut off the limiting in the DR. worked fine but if you want to do tops and subs, you will need two Behringer comp/limiters. any compresser limiter should work as long as it has infinity ratio and keep it on hard knee. it was cheaper for me to buy the DCX2496. has 6 seperate outs and seperate brick wall limiters for each.
I use the auto EQ with pink noise in the Driverack every time I set up. Works great for me.
I now use a DCX2496. 270.00 on ebay. does everything but auto EQ and FB control. So I put the DRPX in front of the DCX2496 and shut everything except for EQ and FB off in the DR. works great for me. cheaper then spending 1000.00 on a 260. and the DCX is super EZ to use.
if you want to see how it works go to Behringers site and products, DCX2496 and download the remote software for it and play with it on your PC. it's free software that runs the DCX. thats what sold me on it.

NOTE: you must turn off the FB control on the DRPX before setting the limiter attached after the DRPX.
