Question on amp purchase

Hi-
Newbie here. Getting ready to build the following:
1 pair of OT12's, loaded with Kappalite 3012HO and 12 Piezo tweeters in melded array.
1 Pair of subs loaded with 3012LF (haven't made final decision on which one yet)
I want to keep my system light and lean (considering a built in dsp option) so I am wondering if it is possble to efficently power both subs and top with a Crown XTI2000 without pushing the limits of the amps and/or breaker it will be on.
Does anyone have any experience with this configuration and/or have any suggestions?

An XTi2000 will drive a parallel pair of OT12 3012HO loaded to full power. Perfect combination.
I suggest you go 3015LF loaded T48s, as wide as you can, pack-space wise. the amp will not driver the subs to full power on one channel, but it will work well enough. If you ever expand, just add an XTi4000 to drive 4 subs.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't have the space for T48's (wish I did) I'll probably build T30 or T36 slims with the 3012LF.
Will I have enough power with an XTI2000 to for both the pair of tops and pair of bottoms?
Just trying to think things all the way through.

I push 2 t30 (delta 12lf loaded) and 2 tops (not as beefy as the 3012ho tops, but thos probably take heads off) on an xti 2000. I've got to keep the tops down a lot lower than the subs to keep things nice and balanced, but yes, the t30s are getting plenty of power.

yep. Subs on ch1, tops on the other. I'm also using the dsp for crossover, delay, and eq.

Any reason why not using the crown xti dsp?

I am. was suppossed to say that I am using the crown xti 2000s dsp, not external dsp.

Awesome.
I only went with the 3012ho as I didnt want to be in a scenario where the tops couldnt keep up in the event I later wanted to upgrade or add on subs.
Thoughts were I could use the xti2000 for both sets now and then use it "tops only" later if I added more sub with a second amp.
At the same time I wanted to make sure I could run the whole system safely on a 15amp circuit without clipping etc.

I reallllly wish that the xti passed post processed material out of the link out jacks on the amp. That would make it 50x more amazing. Unfortunatly, they dont, which I understand from a marketing perspective. Who would buy more xtis after the first one if they already had a good processor, with a built in amp for kicks?

if you can fit either of the Tubas, you can fit the T48. The shape of the Tubas make them very awkward and bulky to manhandle alone, with T36, forget it! Make one 36"X36"X24" (minimum width, IIRC) out of cardboard, put around 80 pounds in it, and try to move it up a flight of stairs, or lift into a vehicle. It is one big mutha! Even the T30 is bulky as all get out, with no real world advantage over the T39 or T48.
I will always recommend Titans over Tubas, because they will go louder where the bass counts. Forum member and DJ "Monomer" uses 2 T39 slims with BP102s for Dubstep, D&B all the bass heavy recordings, and is very happy with it. I personally have old style T39s, AFAIK, the only dual HL10C loaded ones. Mine kill every commercially bought sub the local DJ's I used to compete with at multi-room halls. 2 Crown XTi1000s, a Yamaha EMX5000 powered mixer, light controller, dual tray CD player, and a large (1000 watt PS and 5 HDD) rackmount computer with 19" LCD monitor, and a Behringer DEQ/DCX combo, all from 1 15-20 amp outlet. I have never blown a breaker, and my voltmeter never strayed below 108 VAC. My T39s have knocked full liquer bottles off the bar 100+ feet away, corner loaded with no V-plate.

The iTech HD's do this over CobraNet quite nicely, and Crown will charge you just as nicely for the privilege.
