Will EP-1500 power T39 ?

I want to start cheap with two T39 subwoofers (delta12lf loaded).
I DJ, and for most small gigs i use two tapco thumps 15.
I hope soon there will be two 16 inch wide titan 39 to reinforce low end.

Question is, i have some crossover-eq combo, without subsonic filter.

Behringer EP-1500 has limiter and low pass filter (30-50hz), and power of about 260 wats per 8 ohm?

Can i use built-in limiter and low pass filter, until i buy DCX ?

Also, i don't know which type is subsonic filter in ep-1500 (18db-oct ??) If i set this filter to 50 Hz, I'm afraid low end will be little thin?

My EP-1500 will put out about 39 volts when driven hard into the limiter. It's not clean, but it is 39 volts. I have one, so I measured it once. That's actually about 190W at 8 ohms. I've not been able to get it to spike above that, but it is distinctly possible, because the limiter has different attacks at various frequencies, if I remember correctly. Take that for what you will, use it at your own risk.

The 50hz filter on the EP will protect somewhat, but it really thins out the low end, even on crum-ola speakers.

12" drivers need a lot of width to function properly. At 16" wide, I would go with the BP102. Those stop making more SPL at about 150w (~38v).

The EP1500 does not have a limiter in the same sense as the DCX or DRPA, etc. There is a clip limiter...but I would not rely on that for speaker protection. I would defiantly engage the 30Hz high pass filter...the 50Hz is more for tops.

bp102 definitely makes sense.

Delta 12lf is heavvvy. and since you dont need the extra power handling (you have the ep1500) then there really isnt a reason to go with the delta 12.

I believe the bp102 has more xmax than the delta12.... I think

bp102 make sense if you can buy them !

I only have available Delta12lf right now at reasonable cost, and possibly new neo drivers in period of few months from now.

I have no means to transport anything wider then 16 inch. I will build only two of this boxes for smaller stuff, and later for some big parties probably T48s. (when is possible to rent a van)

The SPL chart for a 16"w T39 with a D12LF would have a huge sag from ~45-80hz. If you absolutely MUST use that driver, O12Subs would make a LOT more sense than 16"w T39s.

Lets put this another way.. can i get better sub for about 180$ per box?

And what is O12Sub ?

Short answer: No.

Omni 12 sub takes two BP102's or one 12" driver and builds the sub only portion of the Omni 12 Full Range. It works but is not the same as a folded horn sub like the T39.

Nope. The T39 sounds like the best compromise, given your budget and pack space constraints.

Proceed with confidence...and post some pics of the build.

This is pure speculation:

Since he already has tapco thumps (15 inch driver, designed for fullrange), would it be a bad idea to cross his system over a little lower (say, 80 hz?) This will reduce the amount of signal going to the t39s, and allow him to push more power to low bass right?

Hard to say... if the Tapco thumps are anything like the Mackie SRM series, they drop like a rock after 70Hz or so and the output at 80Hz isn't worth talking about.

No, it is ok till 50 Hz for sure, and loud enough for gigs to 200, but need subs to give little more "feel", and to get rid of annoying port noise which those produce at higher level.

Ok, i have recalculated pack space. After all, seems that i will build this T39 pair 22 inch wide, so there will be no big loose in performance! (now just to get some money) uuuu, need some moooneyy

That is exactly what I built. You wont regret it, but maybe the EP 1500 won't be enough. I drive mine with an EP2500 and it's just ok. And don't even think about bridging the amp. they really don't like it.

If you build T39 @ 22" wide buy the 3012LF driver. Much better, you will get much more sensitivity and much more extension.

Oh, and it's lightweight too.

And as far as money goes, save a few extra bux and get a used EP2500
