where is the best place to buy ? is this the best coating? how much does it take to do a 30" wide tht ?

It is the best paint coating, IMHO.
Depending on how thick you put it on, between a quart and a half gallon. It is only available to purchase by the gallon, though, so you will just have to build something else just to use it up!
