Links to everything you need for your BFD-build, in Europe.
Re: Links to everything you need for your BFD-build, in Euro
I don't know if they do birch ply. I've used the cheaper grades for my Jacks and Wedgehorns and it's been fine. From memory full sheets are around £17 and they will "cut to size" (not sure I'd trust the accuracy though) which means I can get a cut 8'X4' in the car.

That cheap? Jesus I've been looking in entirely the wrong places. I can nab a transit fairly easy to transport sheets... Awesome, you have just saved me an awful lot of money, I guess I owe you a pint or two!

Re: Links to everything you need for your BFD-build, in Euro
where do you guys buy your amps? I couldn't find any cheap amps (like the dayton 25W plate amp) being sold in Europe, I can only find more expensive amps and nothing in that power range...
Re: Links to everything you need for your BFD-build, in Euro
I have rarely seen cheap plate amps in Europe. There are the 41hz kits, if you are into making your own.

I'm currently in contact with Reiner and he's been helping me out, amazing infos from him

I will once I decide on something
He's got drivers starting at 40€ (for 8" subs), amps at 60€ (dynavox) and offered me some advice on cheap crossovers (Reckhorn F1 or B1). Because I need very little power I might just go with an old Hifi amp though
I think it's best you contact him directly for accurate quotes , his mail is in the first post of this thread

I've found this alternative for PL Premium, it's a dutch website, I guess they ship to other European countries.
http://www.toolstation.nl/shop/Lijmen+k ... 340/p61441
It both glues and somewhat fills. Large, durable after curing, excellent adhesion and water resistant. Fast by harding and very high end strength. Suitable for inside and outside.
Just 7,34 euros/310ml
PU Construct from Soudal is also available in Europe

I think I'm going for the latter...

I've also used Soudal so far. There's a Toolstation shop near where I live, so I picked up one or two tubes of the Zwaluw glue a few years ago. Perhaps I just wasn't lucky but the glue in mine was too thick already to come out. So I drive a bit further every now and then and pick up more Soudal 60A. I agree with Thijs on the cloths thing - my long time favorite fleece sweater is now my favorite BFM build sweater.

I found this where I ordered the birch plywood (Houthandel Segers, Schoten, near Antwerp)

After translating the description, that glue looks fine. Please make sure that you do proper air leak testing and report your findings.

I'm probably a bad person, but I couldn't help mentally translating the name of the company: RectaVit. Would that be "Living ass" in English?

In build order:
O12 with no tweeter.
3 x WedgeHorns.
2 x Jack 10 without tweeters.
2 x DR250.
2 x 16" T39
1 x Tuba 24
2 x SLA Pro (sort of...)

BTW, I am considered by many to be a bad person, because I am very outspoken!
