My ebay seller just backed out of the sale and is refunding my money. Told me it was a mixup on a relisting and should have never been listed at that rate. I told him I knew the real story. Nothing I can do about it if he refunds my money.

I was afraid of that happening with my order, but Amazon shipped everything. 2-2512s already here and 3 -2510s on the way.

:chainsaw: Sorry to hear that. Especially if it was a storefront. I bought some from PE just in time the day before their prices went up- they were in stock on the description page but out of stock when I added them to my cart. My payment went through, however and they shipped the next day. To double check after I checked out I went back and added a single one to my cart and it showed it was in stock!

My 3012's have arrived :cowboy:
Now to find construction time and storage space for a pair of lightweight T39-slim. I'm thinking 16", poplar ply, 6mm or 9mm for the internal bracing. And I'm lusting for a WH10, still in doubt wether or not to order an additional 2510 as well. Potential CD buyers beware, severe risk of cab building fever on these here forums.

I totally overlooked this thread until now. Oh well, I haven't had any firm building plans at the moment anyway.....not sure knowing about this would have made me be buy some in anticipation or not.

I've two pair of said config in auraco and I LOVE them. I'm about to get rid of my 22" pair and replace them with 4 more 16". I was actually going to sell them off with the drivers in them but may not be so easily done now.

Surely they are worth more now, since the drivers in them are more expensive. It's not like they unavailable, just pricier.
Plus if the new owner did blow them, they could replace them with cheaper option if they wanted.

Wow. Quite a day. Glad I jumped onto the Internet this morning, my timing could not have been better. Apparently I got the last 2 3012HO's at the old price from one dealer. He was very nice and actually called to explain about the whole situation. It was amazing to hear that if I'd ordered 20 minutes later I would have paid the new price! Unbelievable, and a bit sad too.

If you google Eminence 2510/2512 they are still out there besides BH for around $110. They seem to have not skyrocketed in price so premium DR series may survive this.

They have. Those folks just aren't paying attention. When they restock their pocketbooks certainly will.

I got the last two 3012LF at the old price from usspeaker.com. Arrived at my door yesterday. He was selling his in stock drivers at the old price even though he knew about the price increase. I thought that was pretty cool. I thought I was sunk after that ebay dealer backed out on me.

Seems to me if a retailer pays 100% for a product and sells it for 110% he makes 10%. If that same retailer has to pay 200% for the same product and sells it for 205% his margin is the same.....?

He might make the same amount, but having $10,000 vs $20,000 invested in something is quite different things. That's why everything works on percentage.
