Ooh aren't they pretty.
well last night at the club I managed to hit 153.3dB in the room. At least 3m from any boundary. Ive got a cool video of my can of beer bouncing across a table with the dB meter beside it. I'll post it up as soon as I can.

Before you wet yourself keep in mind that a good deal of what you're measuring is due to cabin gain and room modes. Exposure to true levels in excess of 130dB would render you deaf in short order.

Yeah but it felt good.

I know you think I'm dumb for it. Haha.
The room modes I. That venue are really annoying. Old stone room, it's the main reason I've been experimenting with the various designs and placements. Outside, the levels might well have measured lower, but would have sounded better. :/ ah well. One of these days I'll get the opportunity to try it all ouside with proper power and space...
Santa, are you listening?

Dave, 153.3
Thats what I like to hear, someone really driving home nasty levels of Bass,
cue: Tim the Toolman Taylor grunting argh argh argh argh
I'm looking forward to hearing/seeing this video of a dancing beer can you've discussed.
When Bill mentioned "Cabin Loading", is that the same as in Pro-Car audio SPL cars, wherein the air space in the car itself actually becomes kind of energized, acting like an extension of the enclosure itself?
Pretty cool scenario; possessing enough gear to make the venue itself, turn into one big f@#k off enclosure
Subharmonic; mate your plans sound fantastic. I'll definitely be watching this space to get updates on your progress. Whats the Low Cut you apply to T60's? I never gave them much thought prior, due to their size, but heck - research can't hurt and they look incredibly tempting.
I've noted 3 main config. for the T60;12 Slim, 12 Dual or Single 15 yeah. Can anybody advise me to which performs best. I think I read that the big daddy Dual 12 was most durable, cause of smaller cone size than the 15, yet larger Vd (Displacement)? Would two slims be able to match the output of one dual? I'm thinking of building one of them and utilizing the drivers I already have for my titans, I'm intrigued and seriously contemplating another project...HOOKED

@TH
I run it per the plans cut at 25hz, I haven't felt I needed to push it hard yet, if I did I may jump to 30hz for a little fudge factor.
As for size/driver compliment...
Lab 12 slims (15"+)- with acuaro ply gives you good performance, size, price ratio. Also less scary to wedding planners and such
Lab 12 dually (30")- bomb diggity, best T60 you can build for performance, this thing has got to be hella heavy too
Lab 15 (27") - best bang for the buck if you have space (also depending current driver pricing), mine with BB shelled and soft ply inards is pushing too heavy

If anyone is thinking LAB12 dually T60s are too heavy, they haven't carried a dual 18" of dual 21" direct radiator or 4th order bandpass cab lately.

No I havent but i would think 250 to 300 lbs estimated depending on mats is pushing too heavy

I have carried (or tried to) plenty dual 18s, and was shifting D&B B2 dual 18hornloaded cabs the other night, and my dual lab12 t60 is definately in the 'too heavy' department.

Heavy. . .
HEAVY wow, I wasn't expecting a light weight concert capable sub, but 250 to 300lbs

My legs are shaking just thinking about trying to lug one of them about, probably the same as standing in front of one at 50v

Thanks for giving me the drill on the T60 powerhouse.
Some final questions to all the privileged T60 operators, given they go super low, are they; musical and articulate, capable of performing in the chest thumping region? Given Dave, runs them with Kick bins, do they still go alright stand alone accompanied only by capable tops?
Cheers

I only have one dual at the moment, and because i run the tops away from the subs, i felt that the stack of tops didnt give that visceral feeling close up, so im experimenting with stacking them on kick bins for dance events.
i remember the first (and only so far) time i had the opportunity to center cluster the t60 running 25-50 and 6 t48 running 50-100 with 6 dr280 on top in a 200 capacity venue..... a friend dropped some dubstep from his phone as a test track and the drop took me by surprise standing in front of the t60 and i actually got a deep down scared feeling. And i dont mean as an initial reaction, i mean it continued for the whole track. ive never felt that before or since. i want it again....I NEED MORE t60!!!!
shit i think i have a problem...
