There was an earthquake triggered on Saturday morning when the system was running..
Coincidence.. l think not

Having lived in California for most of my life, I've experienced quite a few in my time and I'd say a magnitude 5.6 is about spot on for your system. Well done mate, well done.

The wider the horn mouth the narrower the dispersion. It's 180 degrees when the radiating plane is 1 wavelength, where it's less than that it's wider than 180 degrees. From there it narrows as you go higher in frequency. It's different at every frequency, so any quoted angle is a broadband average.
BTW, inductors at wagneronline.com.au/ and
www.theloudspeakerkit.com don't seem all that high priced. Twice that than the US, but everything down under is.
Coming back to the original topic, hopefully someone could clarify the dispersion angles by giving some dispersion angle comparison between the different speaker models. I am looking for wide dispersion angle/close audience.
According to the "Which DR for me?" post, the DR200 has an average horizontal dispersion angle of 120 degrees.
Could someone give the approximate horizontal dispersion angles for the OmniTop 8 (CD version) and the OmniTop 12 (CD version) also, so its easier to decide between the three models?
That'd be very helpful. Thank You very much, Peter

So, actual dispersion angles can only be done through measurement. However, you can easily calculate the frequency at which beaming starts to occur, which is still useful.

The widest dispersion comes with the melded array.

Good evening lads,
After finding a suitable 15" driver available locally to replace the 3015CXs, the SB Audience Rosso-15SW800
https://www.sbaudience.com/index.php/pr ... o-15sw800/
Which is has 11.28 Xmax with an 800w AES rating
l've now confused myself on Xmax/AES and vlimits
Using the plans guide for vlimit for a 15" with 11.28mm Xmax, we're at 60v, though the 15NL9300 is mentioned at 80v as it's 800w AES, but with 8mm Xmax.
And then l'm wondering if l fit the pair of 15SW800s, will they need more voltage to deliver their excursion than the 3015LF and LAB15s in the other 4 subs..? Needing more amp channels & DSP
On one hand my thoughts are, l can fit the pair of 15SW800s and run 60v limit & not miss out on output from those two cabs. The other is replace all 6 drivers and move to 80v limits.
I understand these are maximum limiter settings, real world setup is more conservative.
