Any cutoff larger than about 1"x1" I save. I literally have a cardboard box half full with tiny pieces of BB. The stuff is too darn expensive to throw away. If I happen to screw up a larger panel, I cut off the offending edge and put the panel in storage. I.E. against the wall behind my table saw.

Agreed. But I suppose it depends if you let people dance on them! Extending panel 8 makes them more dance friendly, I'd argue

Mind you, it's just as easy to cut an access hole for the void created by panels, 2,3,4 & 5 and put speakons in there as well as in panel 10... You also have a handy storage place for sandwiches and cables! Options, options!

THERE SHALL BE NO DANCING ON THE SUBS! Because of the subs, yeah... Mine are only narrow so some daft bint would fall off and sprain an ankle knowing my luck.

2,3,4,5 is another option like on the drawing of the T45. I've considered it and may do my next ones that way.

So today was a short day but I did manage to square about 30 sheets of BB.. Holly smokes this stuff is so far out! Kinda sucks since it would be the perfect size for a T60.. I sliced them all down to 59.5 x 59.5..

That's the way I did it too, but I really like building with PL now. Doesn't drip either. Only disadvantage is making sure to keep it off your fingers.

Drives me nuts. Usually you can find one corner that's really close or deadon, and make all your preliminary cuts from those sides. Mark all the cuts for the square corner as you go. Speeds things up considerably.

But then again, not all of us have a FULL PANEL sliding table.

That's what I've always done, but my last batch of BB had exactly zero square corners out of 5 pieces. Very frustrating. Killed a bunch of time getting them square.

I've always found BB to be out of square, but never by more than 1/8 inch. I cut one edge to square it to the top and bottom, then do all the remaining cuts relative to that edge. That preserves the 5 foot top to bottom dimension if I want to use it.

In the past, all of mine had at least two square corners (I always check all the way around and mark the best ones). Then I keep marking the square corners of the remaining scrap so I know where to start with the next cuts.

This last batch was off from 1/8th to 3/16ths over 5 feet. Very discouraging. Guess I'd been lucky before.

And if you don't have a 48" or longer drywall square, get one! (Just be wary of the riveted models: The markings can start off by being off by 1/16th of an inch or more.) Spend the extra $5 and get the hand crank knob job. (Wow, so much wrong with that last sentence!)

These can cut the number of measurements you have to make to get square in half.

Its def going to take some getting use too but I do like the no drip aspect of it as well..

Good idea Leland that would save from a few extra cuts.. Although that saw does make it a cinch

Same here Bruce, I had to put a few aside for interior panel use since cutting them down too 59.5x59.5" still wouldnt square it..

Actually you are right I'm going through the stack now and finding half of them are at least 60" parallel to each other..

When the plywood is made it's first cut to width, which is very uniform. It's then cut to length, usually with a hydraulic cutter, and that's where it can go off from square. When you get a sheet find the parallel edges, mark them, then square on edge to them.

^sure would have helped if I knew that before!
