Are they available yet in Europe? I haven't seen any of the new series, neither Peavey IPR, Crown XLS Drivecore nor Behringer EPQ. Some shops offer them online already but have no stock so you don't know when you are ever going to get them.

Originally I was told January, then the beginning of February, and now 'soon'.
The dealer has asked me to pay up front, which may or may not be a good sign.
Until the amps arrive I shall have to find something else to do... like build some Bill fitzmaurice speakers.

I am (im)patiently awaiting the arrival of the Behringer EPQ range. The 1u size of the EPQ1000 would suit me well. But I'm not going to wait all year for it to arrive. If it takes too long, further savings may allow me to climb a bit higher and get a Peavey IPR or Crown Drivecore. Weight is about the same as the Behringer and they handle 2 ohm loads. Their downside is they cost quite a bit more and need an extra unit of rack space.

Peavey IPR1600 is the only one that is currently available here (from Germany, that is). The larger IPR's and their DSP siblings are expected to come bit by bit later this year. Crown Drivecore coming soon too.

Rumours have it that the factories have a hard time sourcing parts. With the way global economy has been going the last two years, suppliers have brought parts production down and are hesitant to pick up the pace again. The amp designs are ready for production, but that cannot happen without the parts.

The Peavey IPR1600 works as advertised and the DDT circuit is very musical. We just beat the balls off one 2 nights in a row at war volume. We were into DDT most of the night and the amp never flinched or got hot.Sounded very good and kept up well. We didn't use it on sub duty but full range on a 2-way system that ran as a delay stack. Ran 45Hz.-16KHz. HPF@42Hz, and LPF@16KHz. both 24 db slopes. Ran a pair of EV SX200s so the amp was plenty for those boxes.

I've heard some bad reviews but most of them were dead on arrival products. I would imagine Peavey will have it's hands full keeping the China quality up where it will need to be. The one we played with is a keeper...so far!

We have a pair but only use one. Channel A is mains, channel B is the (4 16-ohm) monitors. The only time we've had any trouble was an outdoor gig with serious undervoltage issues where every other amp was deep into protection. It cut in from time to time quite unremarkably.

Every other gig we've done with the IPR has been totally unremarkable. The thing runs and stays out of the way.

Ivan Beaver over at avsforum.com found it stable and linear down to 8hz. That being said, it's hard to say how the amp handles the large energy bursts down low. It should be fine up to 50V though. The DDT circuit is reported to work superb, maybe it takes care of any low freq transient issues it might have had if it didn't have the DDT circuit.

Somebody should have put the IPR on sub duty by now! Has anybody heard of a review?

Yes, we just used one channel of the IPR 1600 for sub duty. Channel A run 2 Otops 12's and channel B run 2 old Peavey W bins. It did a great job with recorded music for our DJ service. Never had the amp in clipping, not once! And it was loud all night long.
Also used it in the practice room with Otops and Titan 48's 3015lf loaded. I bought the amp from MF with a 15% discount. It was $254 and change. I am very very pleased with the purchase. We will be buying another when they come out with the larger watts. Hope this was some help.
