So.... how do they sound.
In short, loud and clear. But remember I shoved two unknown drivers into these cabs so I'm actually glad they make any noise what so ever.
With a flat eq the tweeters are much too bright but I don't doubt that it's the 12 inch driver that's actually too flat. No matter, add some eq to tone down the tweeters and bring out the base a little and wholla.
Much, much louder than the old PA speakers I use. I've dropped the PA level from 5 to 2!!
A back handed comment from one of the wives of the band... "But now I can hear every nuance of the singers voice" sums it up nicely.
So, a huge thanks to Bill for putting these plans together. I had a great time learning and building and thanks to all that answered questions along the way.
On to the Dr200s and Titan39s then........

Really nice, clean work. Yours is the one build I followed to finish up mine. Of course, I had to cover the front of mine because I don't have those immaculate purple arrays.
Thanks for your effort in sharing. This really helps a lot.

Finally got around to taking the jacks out for a ride on the weekend so I though I'd post the final photos.
Winding the inductors
Looking for 0.6!!

Finished, up and running
Being used in a hall in front of 120 people (Yes, that's me)

Final comment after the gig. Wow these jacks are loud and clear.
The hall had 120 people in it and would probably hold 250 max. We ran just the two Jack12s and a Jack12 for bass guitar. All guitar amps were used as monitors and mic'd through the jacks for front of house. The sound was great.
Everything well worth the effort.
If you don't use neo drivers just beware that a Jack12 is probably too heavy for one person to safely put it on a stand. With a neo, no problem.
Thanks again Bill, love your work.

Thanks for the nice coments guys.
Quick update. One of the "fins" I added to hide the back of the arrays did end up getting a buzz vibration in it. Took a while to find it cos it only does it at G# !!
Easy fix though, just shoved a small wedged in between the fin and the array. All good now.

Nice job!
Maybe someday I'll do my own inductors as well.

One thing that I've grown to really enjoy in the last year of hanging out here is the subtle differences in everyone's choices. The crossover is a tiny detail that no one sees, but everyone does just a little bit differently, even though the net result is the same. Neat.
That is a nice build and I'll have to wind an inductor some time, just so I can say I've done it

.

Sorry for the thread jack but big chance other Aussies might read this and understand the humour.
Working on the restoration and replacement of a Fountain in a public park in ritzy Woolhara, Eastern Suburbs Sydney today; a local, not so snobby early forty-something, well to do, cougar approached a colleague and I.
Swiftly darting between the two of us and engaging us with her buxom figure she say excitedly " Hi Fellas, your doing a wonderful job, unlike the council and local beauracrats, soo many rules - tut tut tut I just have to show you this photo"
pulls out iphone... from bra!
"It just somes up our neighbourhood so well, its a scream"
giggling like a 16 year old school girl possesed,
cue: Photo of every street sign on the street reading
Only indulgence allowed here Adultery, oh, and Cocaine WTF? my colleague and I say looking at each other as she skips off down the street only to give us the classic turn and flick. Some Neighbourhood

.
I'm so tempted to bring my Titans there on Friday and see what sort of shenanigans will unfold!
