There's a store near here selling theses, i hope this is ok as it would be very simple and i kinda like the look.
Also because i don't want to order a metal grill online and again it's not easy to find here apparently.

I mean how i know how much voltage for caps i need? I will use 100v min but is it overkill to go higher than like 600v ?
900w into 4 ohms is 60 volts.
he says i must use more than 112v caps because 800w amp will give 112v...

There really needs to be a "like" button on this forum.

Totaly makes sense, i wonder why they tell me that, i mean it will just make bad reviews for them in the long run, i'm pissed off at them now haha
thanks so much :)

I can't imagine where he got the 112v from. Into 8 ohms that's 1568 watts, into 4 ohms that's 3136 watts. I guess he skipped class on the day when they explained Ohm's Law. :)

Well, technically he's right ...... if you are running a 16 ohm load. But, he should have asked for more info before making a blanket statement like that. People that speak in absolutes when there are so many variables (without asking the values of the variables) are people who I tend to discount.

Too make a short story long......

The Fender rep for this area lives in my town. He was doing a show at a local venue where I was helping the band get set up. There were some powered EV monitors, but he wanted to use his Fender monitor. It wasn't nearly as loud as the EV. He couldn't understand why since his Fender monitor was 1300 watts. He repeated that several times.

Truth is that it was 300 watts to the lows and 150 to the highs RMS. And that's before the limiter kicks in to protect those crappy little drivers. I had to dig deep to find the specs, but I finally found 'em. So, while Fender was selling this box as a 1300 watt powerhouse - it really wasn't......unless of course, you were running them into peak power.....which of course wouldn't matter since the limiters would squash that way, way down before it ever reached the speakers.

I really wanted to explain all this to him, but I knew that he wouldn't believe me.....after all, his employer said it was so....and it's right on the box!

I just saw some cheap Talent LED Par64's... on the box it says the LED's are good for 1,000,000 hours....that's 115 years. So, I guess you'll get a lot of use out of a $40 bargain-basement light....

That's 1 million hours total.....divided by the 181 lights in the box......that's only 230 days per light. It's all in the math! :noob:

My church just got some to try. One of the eight was DOA, one died a week later, two more refused to respond to DMX...your 230 days/light is a bit optimistic. I have hopes that one of these days my church will realize that prices that are "too good to be true" are exactly that.

I made a mistake, though...The box says 6-10 million hours... So figure between 680 and 1140 years of constant operation.
so if I don't get at least 500 years out of the rest, I'm gonna be pissed!

Just making that up for a laugh. I have no idea from which part of the anatomy that they pull their numbers......but, I think I can guess.
