900w into 4 ohms is 60 volts.Electric Wisdom wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:07 pm Ah ok so if i have 2 of theses 3012lf 450w i add 450+450= 900w minimum?
I mean how i know how much voltage for caps i need? I will use 100v min but is it overkill to go higher than like 600v ?
'He' is a salesman, not an engineer.he says i must use more than 112v caps because 800w amp will give 112v...
There really needs to be a "like" button on this forum.Bill Fitzmaurice wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:00 am900w into 4 ohms is 60 volts.Electric Wisdom wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:07 pm Ah ok so if i have 2 of theses 3012lf 450w i add 450+450= 900w minimum?

Totaly makes sense, i wonder why they tell me that, i mean it will just make bad reviews for them in the long run, i'm pissed off at them now hahaBill Fitzmaurice wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:00 am900w into 4 ohms is 60 volts.Electric Wisdom wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:07 pm Ah ok so if i have 2 of theses 3012lf 450w i add 450+450= 900w minimum?

Well, technically he's right ...... if you are running a 16 ohm load. But, he should have asked for more info before making a blanket statement like that. People that speak in absolutes when there are so many variables (without asking the values of the variables) are people who I tend to discount.Electric Wisdom wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 4:36 pm he says i must use more than 112v caps because 800w amp will give 112v...
I just saw some cheap Talent LED Par64's... on the box it says the LED's are good for 1,000,000 hours....that's 115 years. So, I guess you'll get a lot of use out of a $40 bargain-basement light....Bruce Weldy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 5:05 pm I really wanted to explain all this to him, but I knew that he wouldn't believe me.....after all, his employer said it was so....and it's right on the box!
That's 1 million hours total.....divided by the 181 lights in the box......that's only 230 days per light. It's all in the math!NukePooch wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 7:42 pmI just saw some cheap Talent LED Par64's... on the box it says the LED's are good for 1,000,000 hours....that's 115 years. My church just got some to try. One of the eight was DOA, one died a week later, two more refused to respond to DMX...your 230 days/light is a bit optimistic. I have hopes that one of these days my church will realize that prices that are "too good to be true" are exactly that.Bruce Weldy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:19 pmThat's 1 million hours total.....divided by the 181 lights in the box......that's only 230 days per light. Just making that up for a laugh. I have no idea from which part of the anatomy that they pull their numbers......but, I think I can guess.Electric Wisdom wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 5:35 pm Oh wow haha they really combine the usage in time of each led and write that on the package hahahahomg
Is'nt leds last 50 000 hours usualy minimum even if they are cheap..?
