(updated the pictures to a better size)
The T39's are done.

Tim finished the cabs and coating Friday. I wired them up yesterday and installed the speakers today. I have not weighed them, but compared to my Ampeg V2's, these things are light. Much lighter than the Qsc Ksubs we have been using. I'll post a weight if that is allowed. Even the size at 28" is not that bad.
Tim was excited to hear them. So, we fired them up. Now, the way I connected them was not optimum. I have not used the DBX Driverack yet, and I did not want to have to change a bunch of connections to our system (the QSC K system is all active) so I ran from the sub out on the K12 which crosses at 100 Hz. into the Crown amp to the sub. We simply ran some tunes via the computer through the board. Then we set them side by side!
I was not concerned that I would not be pleased but man oh man...even with this crude connection we had the floor moving (we practice upstairs in the barn).

They were only averaging 5 to 6 volts. Tim went hunting for some bass heavy tunes, the kind you hear from that thumping car passing by. One song did hit 22 volts on a couple notes. The Ksubs would never do what just one of these were doing. I mean, I was giggling inside. Tim was smiling too. I think I have him convinced that we could leave his bass amp home for the small shows. Outside gigs that we do, these 2 will be fine compared to the Ksubs. I mean, even the snare drum of some tunes was smacking you.
I'll try to get some sound up on youtube in a week. Do a little comparison. Any song requests?
The OT 12's are now almost done too. I have no pictures. Tim's not getting fancy with these (no dado's and rabbets). I should be wiring them up and installing the speakers by next weekend. Then I have to get serious about learning the Driverack.
Here's some pictures of the finished product. Just have to put the emblems on. I included on of the X-overs I put together for the OT12's.
