I run an eSmoke website and order a lot of product from china. Found one of my suppliers also handles acrylic drums/cylinders. Ordered right from Shenzhen, Guang dong!

Got the rest of the items at either drumfactorydirect.com, drummaker.com and/or drumfoundry.com

As well as a few items off eBay, like the Tama Accutune kick drum hoops. Hard to find and sooo cool imo :)

Most come with a self adhesive strip :)

Update!

Finally got around to building my v-plate! Check it out!

Like how I emulated the double holes at the base of the cabs? Yeah, me too. Makes for some easy carry, especially since I went with a lighter plywood. Should be an stunner combo once covered :)

Also, clever me, remember those rubber foot reliefs that turned out to be just pretty? Well, I decided that there might be a use for them after all. If'n you look real close, you'll notice that I did some measurement stuff and put the rubber feet on the v plate instead!

They fit them holes perfectly.

Not convinced? HA- Never doubt superman:

Okay, yes, there is a couple of problems... One; there is no seal betweenxt the cabs and plate. I'll be a-fixin' that soon.

Also.. we played a gig right down there in the basement soon after and wouldn't you know it- the v-plate fell right off in the third set because the slims rumbled and bumbled so much (hehe).

Part of the problem that night was that, if you remember, the floor is polished tile (ugh) and that type of floor gives the subs every reason to scurry around like children with bad parents in a walmart.

Sooooo, what's next I think, is to craft blind nuts of sorts, into the cab, to secure it once and for all.

I do hate the prospect of drilling into my subs tho and am still thinking of other solutions with some t-screws through the feet.

I'd like to think there is a better solution. Hell, it might make sense to once again consider placing the rubber feet on but one side of each cab. (floor side that is)

I would think it would keep the crawl to a minimum, especially with the v-plate feet working to keep them together.

Oh, and even with the horrible cabin gain down there- these things ROCKED! Had them wall loaded about 15' from the dance floor after doing the crawl test (with them in the position you see in pic 1).

The bass was real good over there and the swap made it so on the floor. Awesome!

Yes, I saw that a while back and it's a great idea- Nice work Bruce!

For me, however, blinds might make more sense. I keep thinking how I could have them at each relief and therefore be able to either screw on feet OR the vplate- regardless of side chosen!

Still, I think I let it roll around in the brain pan a bit longer :P

Thanks for sharing again, you sir definitely write the most enjoyable build threads. Keep them coming :cowboy:
Funny you should say that. My wife took one look at those incomplete boxes in that position and the first thing out of her mouth was " So when can you can build me a bird house?"

Haha! I about fell out of my garage drinkin' chair! I then reminded her that this wasn't a kitchen and there was no way she was gonna be able to fix me a sammich in there. So I shooed her away, all the while awkwardly stretching my body over the scraps on the table so that she couldn't see that a birdhouse was indeed possible.

(Kidding aside, Imma gonna build her one or two, I kinda like her after all)
