Re: Australian Jack Stack
I'd rather hit a giant squirrel than a moose or a deer (which are more common around here). Those big bastards jump on the road and stare at you while you hit them. My friend got his Dodge Caravan totalled last month because of a deer didn't cross the road at the right time.
Nice Job Neil. I really like the purple arrays.

Re: Australian Jack Stack
Neil, I've been paying attention to your build, and I thank you for your documentation (and questions) and all of the feedback given here. I'm stealing all kinds of stuff - absolutely love the handles. Maybe next time for me.

Did you account for interior volume lost by using those handles?

Are there no special tactics for brawling with the roo's? ...Poke them in the eye, ...kind words, or get the candy out...?

No. I thought it might make a difference but don't really know what I'm doing yet so I posted a question about it earlier but got no responses. They actually dont take up as much as they look. I'll post a photo of the inside and you'll see what I mean.ncgrove wrote:Did you account for interior volume lost by using those handles?

"Generally" you can ignore them. They are really skitish and do a runner at the slightest look of anything. Just don't accidentally corner one!!! They stand up on their tail and lash out with those massive back legs.Charles Jenkinson wrote:Are there no special tactics for brawling with the roo's? ...Poke them in the eye, ...kind words, or get the candy out...?

Re: Australian Jack Stack
So, a bit more work completed on the weekend.
Installed the driver Installed the Jack plate Shoved in a bunch of acoustic foam. You can see the amount of space the handles are taking up in this picture.

Suddenly realised I completley forgotten to attach the diffuser to the array so I need some inventive clamping!!!

Re: Australian Jack Stack
I'd be hoping anything I build turns out looking half as good as what you've done Neil
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...
