Anybody wishing to build the 8" AT in the UK and not able to get the MCM or Tangband driver can use the JBL GTO804.
Bill has okayed the driver specs and I've built 2 ATs so far using this driver with excellent results. Get them here http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jbl-gto804-p-5130.html for £44.98 inc Mainland UK delivery.

B&C ME10 horn, which should work nice for OT and for just £3.

Just bought 6, only need 2 but at that price why not.

What do people in Europe (NL: Thijs?) use for glueing piezo arrays? I have tried model plane glue (UHU), but it did not really meld the piezo horn material like it is supposed to. PVC glue also did not work very well. I have made a few arrays with the types of glue that I could find, but my results so far have been rather fragile at best.

I use PVC pipe cement. Before I glue up I add the plastic cutoff from trimming the piezos to the can and leave it overnight, it will dissolve to tint the cement black and thicken it. Add clear thinner to the cement if it's too thick. A few coats and it's rock solid.

First of all: what are you building 8) ?
Second: I went to a shop that is specialised in remote control cars and planes (http://www.shamrock-maastricht.nl/) and asked them for some plastic glue. First they wanted to sell me a 'standard' plastic glue, but I emphasized the glue should dissolve the plastic and melt it together! Then they presented me another glue that worked perfectly :hyper: . Bill's recipe for cement actually was much faster, although I didn't use the cutoffs for the cement. I used the little black plastic crums from the tweeters, the 'sawdust' so to speak. It dissolved quite rapidly and was ready to use at once. Very sturdy and quick-drying too  . To finish it of, I coated the joint lines with http://www.pattex.nl/new/nl/onzeproduct ... el_BENL_NL. No leaks whatsoever :cowboy: .

I just searched their website for the glue, but it's not there. If you want, I can pick some up and send it to you...

Haven't started building yet, I want to make me a pair of O10.5's. Melded arrays OT12 style, slightly slimmer and deeper (same volume).

Sounds good :) What's the make and name of that glue?

Let me see if I can source some locally, if you remember what it was called. If it cannot be found locally, you would do me a big favor sending some.

Nice 8)

It's Ruderer L530. See http://www.ruderer.de/produkte/klebstof ... earch.html. It's the version with Toluol.

They also have a version without. Dunno if that works the same, so watch out!
I used about 1 tube per 2 arrays (DR200), but I was not overdoing it, so depending on what you're gonna glue you may need some more.

Thijs, I couldn't find anything locally. Can you get me one or two tubes of that glue?

Try "Sabbelbacke" on this forum. I've ordered almost everything for my DR250s and T48s from him. I once had a long orderlist and I just said straight into the air "Well, now it's just piezos left, but I think I've got a source in GB." and he was like "I'll handle it." in a blink of an eye. When one of my HL10c's tore (bad batch) he scurried all around Europe for a new one and actually accidently found the last one in all of Europe almost a year later and he sent it straight to me. He'll take care of everything.
