Thanks for the limiter thread —- lots to learnSeth wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 1:13 amI sense a pair of OTop12's and T39's in your future.
Here's a couple threads with info you're likely to appreciate.
Rules for Subwoofer Placement and Stacking
Setting Limiters
Just played with the crossover stuff tonight with my old system, need the EQ part figured out also, of course I went from active 4-way down to a sub and a 2-way no tweeters , until i figure out a passive xover to it lol

Seth wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 2:12 pmI wouldn't go so far as to say there's no advantage. The LAB15's Vd is higher and has a slight advantage in maximum output. And that same voltage into a 6 ohm driver will contribute to achieving the little extra Vd. If it's not intended to be a mobile system and just lives it's life in the corner of the shop, the weight difference in the drivers isn't really of any concern.Bruce Weldy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 9:27 am If you are going with the 15, then you really should consider the 3015LF over the Lab15. They both have to be limited to the same amount of voltage - so there is really no advantage with the Lab. It's 15 lbs. heavier and costs about $85 more.
That said, if it were me in that situation, I'd probably choose to save the money and go with the 3015LF... and build 2.
I'm a huge fan of the idea of the sensitivity of the 36" wide T48. It's phenomenal. 100 watts would be quite sufficient to move A LOT of air. Just too big to do what I want to do. But, I think it's a great choice if you have the room/space. Either driver will suite just fine. The 3015LF doesn't require driver chamber reducers, so that's another positive point for the 3015LF... reducing build steps and complexity (and further weight reduction). Well now that I’ve experienced chamber reducers, lol , it’s just work
But looking forward to getting numbers from you on setting the limiter and compressor, been playing with overs and slopes to my ear lol.

Apparently I m having trouble loading pics lol
Thanks greatSeth wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 12:55 pmI'm excited for you RYNOAre you going with the full 36" width? Any progress pics?

4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

Filled and primered... even on the inside! I appreciate the attention to detail Ryno. Great job man

I've pulled my fair share of engines and hate working with cold tools (used to live in WI, so I know your pain). GM switched the trucks over to the newer vortech/LS style 4.8/5.3/6.0L engines in 1999. For a 2002, I'm surprised to see the older engine design in there.

One ton up to 2002 had these motors, along with the 411 PCM , which I can program.Seth wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 10:28 pmI've pulled my fair share of engines and hate working with cold tools (used to live in WI, so I know your pain). Thanks, that’s better lol

Yeah couldn’t see leaving bare wood inside so filled ,primed and sealed while I could still reach. That bench I’m using is 41 inches high, I’m 66 inches tall , but still wanted 36 inch cab.
There is the DBX PA2 in rack at top, I like using the iPad connection for setting.

You have come to the right place if you want to learn about speakers, and how to operate them, with knowledge. Ask the questions if you are not able to locate the correct answers.
What plans did you order? What is the purpose of the speakers in your application?
Purpose is just use in shop music mostly classic rock, Ennio Morricone , Danish national symphony, all kinds even Henry Mancini, movie sound tracks etc and occasional drums set and guitar oh and a mic for certain people.yup that covers it.
Ordered all the plans , want to make some wooden horns I have ( before my dbxpa2) Rane 23s 4way xovers use my SP118 -base, SP5 for mid, BM-D750 2” driver for mid, some tweeter for above 7,000
Experiment is my middle name
