Another site that is more local is https://qcomponents.ca/ (Waterloo, Ontario)
With a little digging you can get all the components that you need.
Ok cool thanks for confirmation.
Yes i know qcomponents.
I just found this one too : https://solen.ca/fr/produits/condensate ... 5a100k126/

I will probably paint them black and use this as protection, with black metal corners and simple black handles.

You can do that, but they will most likely end up looking like homemade cabinets. Duratex is a much better finish. Looks professional and is very durable.

Yeah, i have hard time finding duratex in Montreal, i'll search again this week.
Also they suggest me not to use elect caps in pa cross overs... so i read a few online and see because they fail after years and maybe less precise as other caps... But then why bipolar elect caps are used in the design of the 212 simplexx? I would follow very carefully the plans but.. just checking if that might make sense or not? They sent me a list of other caps for example the 22uf :

I like the fact that this finish i posted will make it look diy and cheap haha so it might be less chances for it to be stealed, also it looks like it will fill anything and make it very air thight on top of the PL glue that also expands.
I just found this thread, apparently i'm not the only one who can't find duratex here lol

You only get one chance to do it right the first time.

I could be wrong but I think you only get email notifications on PMs.

Using other than elect bipolar caps will change the sound, cross over point, etc? Or it's more about the durability or other factors? I trust your design, that's just good sense to use as close as possible as the intended design.

Hm.. they replied telling me about getting higher voltage caps is better when i ask about why they dont suggest the elect caps type... it's weird answer.. anyway, 100v caps is what the document says, he says i must use more than 112v caps because 800w amp will give 112v...

Why the 2 woofers 3012lf at 450w each would be ok with caps rated at 100v?

Rule #1: Follow the plans. Rule #2: Never break rule #1. Where they say use electrolytic use electrolytic, where they say use polys or mylars use polys or mylars. Where voltage is concerned look up the definition of 'at least'.

Yeah i will of course
Ah ok so if i have 2 of theses 3012lf 450w i add 450+450= 900w minimum?
I mean how i know how much voltage for caps i need? I will use 100v min but is it overkill to go higher than like 600v ?
