Very nice indeed Bill!

You might want to buy some 1/4" plug plastic blanks to fill those 1/4" jack holes when they aren't in use, if they leak...

Thanks Tom, I got much better at rolling the Duratex finish. I found that going back over each of 3 coats with a dry roller when it starts to dry removes some of the glossiness and the roller marks and creates a finish I like better. So much better that I went ahead and refinished the w8 I had previously finished.

Thanks Grant ! Once the cable switch over from 1/4" to speakon is completed I will plug the 1/4" jacks, and already have the plugs. For these wh monitors, since they are vented (ports on the sides) it's probably not too important, but once i'm not using them I might as well plug them. In addition once I'm not using 1/4" jacks I will probably unwire them as well as plugging them. For now my main focus is getting the last monitor built, then will come the cabling switch over (already have the 12 ga wire and will continue getting the speakon ends as $$ allows). Then on to the 4X dr 250's which won't have 1/4" jacks. Hopefully the dr 250's will be completed before the new year, and then on to making the public aware of my availability for sound services (incl. gear sheets/bio, web site and business cards) to be ready for the next festival season. I believe I may call myself "Sun Sound Services". Then comes the subs, which for pack space will probably be the widest version of the Titan 39 with premium driver 3012lf that can fit through my 29&1/2" basement door.

Good luck with your venture!

Just remember with the T39's, when it comes to doors it doesn't matter how wide they are, as you can turn them side on to get them through the door. Side on, maximum width is only 19 1/2".
So it goes back to pack space only...

heck then, since I will be carting them around in a hand truck, loading them in sideways through my door is no problem, so the widest (28") would totally work. My personal vehicle is a ford e 350 (which has a 1 ton capacity), full sized passenger van(not extended like church vans), with removable seats, so far 4 monitors 4 tops and 4 subs with amp racks and mics, cables etc, etc, etc looks like it will all fit..tightly but fit. One day there may be a trailer involved....

the second of 2 w 10's coming together...same as the other one, and the last of the monitors to build at this point, though I can see building one more each w 8 & w 10 or some combination after tops (4X dr 250's)and subs (4X titan 39 or 48) are done.

It's been decided, once 2X Tian 48's and 2X DR250's are completed I will return to building 2 more W8. Then 2 more each of titans and dr's

First time I used duratex, I poured it in a pan too......

Now, I just dip right out of the can. It's thick enough that it doesn't drip and I don't have any waste or additional cleanup.
