Horns are quite common in the pro-touring genre, where cabs cost upwards of $3k each. You don't see them in the price range where the average DJ/band buys because there aren't any, for the same reason why there are no $15k BMW or Mercedes.
Thanks for the encouraging words Bill. I recently watched this seemingly knowledgeable/experienced however spaced out guy dis the horn subs as "hardly ever seen anymore" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwLH7zP6Lwo . However soon i will be hearing these wh8's and other of your designed builds and feel confident, through all the rave reviews of your work on here, as soon as I get some done. Thanks for all your work and help.

Grant i see many options for cutting the corners to work here..gets me thinking THANKS!!

Note the date of the video. Dave is well known for dissing whatever he doesn't use himself. He dissed line arrays too, until he switched over to them.

Ahh..didn't see the date till you pointed it out. Iam going FULL SPEED AHEAD
hECK WITH THE DISSERS!! I guess on my part, doing lots of research, bound to hit on something like this. The rest of his info is pretty general (watched about 7 of his vids) and plenty to be learned, but one can't be well informed from one source. And for his part I can sorta understand upholding your gear while bashing others...well sorta.

Dave was one of the last converts to line arrays. He had so much money invested in old technology that he held onto it until he couldn't any longer, and that meant bashing the new technology to justify why he hadn't made the switch. Fast forward only a few years and note what's pictured on the front page of his rental site:

I know money often seals the deal, but seriously, quality is an investment, not an expense... Grant Bunter

Twas Bruce Weldy who put up the pics re making the corners fit. If he hadn't, I would have lol.
Still, you learnt how to get your pics up from me, so I don't feel so bad.
Thanks anyway. Many of us try to help, though it seems my accent gets in the way at times lol...
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.

Indeedy Grant and that was helpful and Bruce u rock !! The idea i got from the pics of the corners wound u giving me the idea of just cutting the wings off at a 45 deg so a smallish amount of the rounded over corner is left to sand it's pointy little head off for all the "odd" angled corners.
like this:
However i ran out of the screws used to mount these and only got 11 corners and waiting from speakerhardware about why the handle didn't come in the kit. Mebe they don't come in the kit anymore...
thanks leland for taking care of this handle thing for me ! It's great dealing with a bunch of upright, kind, helpful folks. Dagon It i gotta get a new keyboard for my compy, a few keys are whacked, well..fits the user i guess.
