I didn't know you were going to paint it. Looks much nicer now, IMO. A padded slipcover, as Bruce suggested, would be a great way to go. Hopefully you can sew...I can't.

I cut some plex-glass pieces and velcro them on to cover the gear. Seem like it adds a reasonable level of protection. My wife is going to sew up a cover out of some vinyl material.

That sounds cool. There are many different ways to get things done and many different levels of "need." You'll be the only one touching your case/equipment. It won't be getting chucked, upside down, into the back of a truck by some day laborer. Looking forward to the final result and pics.

Just added the plexiglass for some level of protection. Worked out OK. Will post pic when I get a chance. Slip on cover won't happen before the holidays I'm sure. Did order more XLR cables so I can run single amp with full range speakers or both amps with the sub + sla pros.

Here is, I took an amp and the mixer out of my my plastic case as it was too heavy and often too much for the little parties I do. I can bring both when I bring the Tuba 24 and bi-amp or just the top box for little jobs with full range speakers. This is small back yard/garage stuff folks. Nothing crazy. Don't mind my other toys and the SLA Pro next to my jukebox and Mame machine I made. The plexi-glass is ok and provides some protection when moving. Just clips on with velcro. Not my best for sure. Just threw it all together to be honest. Started sketching up something at 5 am and running the table saw at 7!
