Officers from Norfolk Constabulary have re-iterated their zero-tolerance of unlicensed music events by destroying seized equipment.
The speakers, generator, amplifier and cables were confiscated following a rave in Feltwell Woods, West Norfolk on 4 March.
The offender was fined £100 plus costs and a destruction order for the equipment was issued by the courts.
The equipment was destroyed by officers at King’s Lynn police station on Tuesday 11 December 2012.
Supt Dave Marshall said: “This shows once again that we will not tolerate raves in Norfolk. They can have a real impact on people living in rural communities and we will continue to crack down on those who commit these crimes.
"I would also like to take the opportunity to appeal for the public's help in tackling this issue. Early information from the public is critical if we are to prevent a rave from taking place. If we get reliable and timely information about where and when an event is being set up, generally we can get to the site, identify the organisers and seize sound and other equipment before the rave begins."
The items destroyed were:
- 8 standard speakers measuring 2’x2’
- 2 Peavey UL Speakers measuring 24” x 42”
- A Stephill generator
- A Crown amplifier
- 3 metal cases
- 1 plastic case containing jump leads
- A draper tool box
- A small container of diesel
- 1 nitrous oxide cylinder
