Agreed. I cant seem to find the same pattern online but I did find a somewhat similar one with a little smaller holes and it was in the low 40's. Definitely not where I want to be, even if I'm a little closer to 50. Not great, not ideal but Ill see if I might be able to find something that will work better. The time crunch now is the only issue. Painted the cabs white yesterday with rattle can, Ill be doing the exterior in a white semi gloss epoxy when I get some time.

Also, the only problem with having the grills as I put them, you have to cut off one of the lips to get to it because they are now encapsulated into the cab. Not a major issue, as I can run them standing on the table saw and make a nice clean cut and slide the grills out, and replace the piece with a little PL and some love but its just the added step that sucks. Oh yeah, and the loss of $25 for the sheet metal. Buy once, cry once didnt apply here. Thats what happens when life gets in the way....

I ordered a 4’ x 8’ sheet of the above stuff from a local fabrication/welding shop for $40.00. It isn’t powder coated so you’ll need to primer/paint it. It cuts easily with an abrasive blade on a circular saw and sled. (Full face shield/gloves) Most shops will cut it for you on a shear for a minimum charge.

Fabricators use "on center" dimensions verses open area and refer to it as: 18 gauge 1 ¼” x ½” flattened expanded mild steel.
