How about opening a boutique shop where you're wearing an apron while you work and people watch what you're doing and you could use something like this http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R ... TYEmleBV8E and this http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R ... TYE01eBV8E to get everything beautifully aligned...

Probably didn't like being bent 2 ways! I wonder if water would help or ruin it?

Looking at this pic I might have cut too deep. Should have kept the last 2 plies untouched perhaps?
Did this yesterday for a test. Cut through just leaving the top ply. I let it sit wet for about 30 minutes, just sprayed the top with a spray bottle. Worked perfectly. I'll fill the gap in the back with PL and make a brace nub that fits to the back of the baffle.

Sounds like a great combination. I'd love to see any pictures if you have them.

I think if I were to try making the baffle in one piece I would use a wet rag/towel or a wet piece of rope so it could wick into the left over cut then heat it with a blow dryer or heat gun before flexing. I think that would be the closest to mimicking a steam box I could do.

I used the recommended Goldwood GW-4028/S woofers and GT-302/S tweeters.

oh. ok. that's awesome. haven't received my plans yet. they're still in transit. very nice looking for a low cost option. the build really turned out great.

You are going to be really pleased with this build. They sound great! I just noticed your signature, I also have the TX-NR818. It works really well with the SLA's.

for right now i just want an sla for an upgrade to my center channel. my current one sounds good for what it is, but it's just two 6" and one tweeter, so not much dispersion. want to build one of the curved sla centers. from the way you guys talk, it should make me happy. once i get the cd, i'll go over the build plans, and start picking your brain.

i'm assuming the answer will be "no", but i meant to ask if you have any issues the 818 running out of power with the sla??

i'm assuming it's a small brace. so instead of it being a full sized brace, it's just a little nub to span the gap.

Hell no! Never maxed it out. Maybe I should try but would need to wear ear plugs! I suppose it depends on your room.
