U
16g is more of a finish nailer then a brad gun. I have a 15g finish nailer that I do trim work with. I even can use it to nail in door frames. Definitely not something to use on 1/2" ply.

Re: Brad Nailers
Anybody use this 23 gauge nailer? http://www.harborfreight.com/air-tools/ ... 68022.html Just went to order their $20 18 gauge and they must not carry it anymore.
Re: Brad Nailers
I used it once. The thin brads don't like staying straight when using hardwood, like baltic birch.Rick Lee wrote:Anybody use this 23 gauge nailer? http://www.harborfreight.com/air-tools/ ... 68022.html Just went to order their $20 18 gauge and they must not carry it anymore.

Re: Brad Nailers
18g brads have a nasty habit of going AWOL at times, so I'd hate to think what 23 gauge would do....not for me I'm afraid.Rick Lee wrote:Anybody use this 23 gauge nailer?

Re: Brad Nailers
Hi I,ve got about 6 nail guns from the 23g through to 4in nails.
The 23 g one is good for pinning in place because being headless the pins pull straight though if you get it wrong.
How ever, if you have a bit of time, screws will pull a bent panel in to place better than any nail gun and are we realy in that much
of a rush
Then when the pu as gone off just remove them, router bit friendly
I think if you are that much in a rush you should charge more, or find something else to do ,half the fun is in the build. Man and is workshop.
Sorry any ladys out there, women and there workshop.

I have all the tools to do the jobs right, I've just never used the smaller gauge gun.
I agree, my new 18 gauge gun came in this morning so all is well nowCraigsAudio wrote:I can not think of a better way to build a cab.
