I did a quick test last week and had no air leaks in the chamber. I was trying to get all the routering done today but it wasn't able to get finished. My router with a brand new blade is chipping out the wood like crazy. I Bondo'd a bunch and will sand tomorrow and get a coat of truck bed liner on it...finish the access cover flanges, a little more paint. Maybe on Sunday a real test.

Yeah I had a good OMG moment when I stood it up. The pics with me standing by it really tell the story.

I'm like you I really don't need one or two of these but it would be sweet just to build them after all I've heard about the output. I think I'll do a pair of 12" slims. I'm anxious to hear what you hear (and feel).

You might be going the wrong way with router and the grain of the last ply.
Plywood chips all to hell, I know what you mean.
Try going either slow or multiple passes first with a smaller round over than finishing with the desired round over.
I hate using bondo on corners due to shipping after it is painted. But the good thing about paint is that there is no limit to the amount of coats.

New issue:
I am using a rustoluem truck bed liner for a finish. I have an attached garage and the fumes are coming into the house. So now I have to leave the garage doors open to get a breeze through the garage but have to have heaters up against the sub to keep it warm enough to cure.

This is not good.

How well does that rustoleum bed liner work on these boxes?

Should have used DuraTex.

Is it less fumey? I used this stuff on my Titans with no issue besides having to use a ton a acetone to cleanup. But when I coated them it was summer so fumes were no issue.

It's water base, so no noxious fumes, and no carcinogens. It smells the same as latex paint.

Well the wife made me remove the sub from the work area so my project is postponed until the liner cures.
It is in a metal crappy shed. Hopefully no rodents get to it...ugh. Blizzard is coming before I get back to town then I leave town for the holiday. Bummer!
On a side note:
I found my first door that the sub won't go through. The man door in teh back of my garage. It is exactly 27" wide like the sub.

It's a 28 inch door, which has 27 inch clearance. The smallest standard door size for main entryways is 30 inch, for a 29 inch clearance. Most commercial entryway doors are 36" or dual 30".

Everything in that garage is small. Except my ideas!
Oh and the T-60

My vintage 1938 garage is so narrow that I keep a tube of K-Y in the glove box so I can lube up to squeeze out of the car.

Don't tell me you built it.
