How are you going to balance the different sources and crossovers?

He's a clever boy, I'm sure he's got xovers to spare and more processors than NASA.

Interesting use of T39. I always thought "dang that's a waste of speakerage" just using them in the sub range when they keep going so strongly. Good luck keeping it all in phase and whatnot.

Someone asked earlier if they sound good with live groups, and not just compressed electronic music.

Just got back from helping with a festival, all live groups.

They had a JBL 3way setup there before, the LF drivers were toast halfway through the day. I decided to help the people throwing it out a little and haul my subs, amps and otops out

I had the setup going in 20mins. The stage was on time all day. Soon as everything was hooked up, I put on some mellow dub to do a check. Two THT's with covers on is impressive, even without boundary loading. Nothing but compliments.

The engineer(s) that were doing the mixing were impressed, to say the least. I think they liked it enough to book me form now on. I've also got them looking into SAC, as between them they own a studio and some nice D/a converters.

I wish all shows went this well. This was the largest show I've ever done, and it was the most fun!

-I hope this is readable, as I've been up for close to 20 hours and am tapping into some 1800 tequila.

Oh: and they had the cleanest, punchiest sound I've heard out of such a small rig.

tops were less then 10Vac, subs peaking at 22Vac (HP at 35Hz/24db LR)

sounded great, even 300 feet out.

Nice Pic and story. Good to see the rig worked so well. How do you compare your THT vs. Titans?

If that's all you have to clean out of the subs at an outdoor festival - you're doing pretty good. I shudder to think of some of the questionable objects I've dumped out of my bass bins.

Gig report:

Did an all-dubstep show last night. Four THT's driven with a single PL4.0. Earlier in the night I HP them at 20Hz, little later in the night I brought it upto 32Hz and opened the limiters up a bit.

It was...Ridiculous

I had windows in car doors OUTSIDE rattling.

Best I've done is 8t48 4dr280 for dubstep show upstairs (250 capacity) in a student union and people were mentioning that in the main club venue 2floors down we were drowning out the nexo pa.
