Here's a pic of them stacked the way they are going to hang in the club. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to do that just yet but I got an idea.. I might fabricate a steel tubular frame to hold them and actually mount it to the top of the stage..

The curve looks great! But, doesn't it take away a little horn area. We're always very concerned with the smallest of leaks and I was thinking that taking away several square inches of horn area might affect performance. I've also wondered that about the handles on some of the subs (at least in older T39 plans that I have).

Damn those are pretty.

I think with these being so beautifully built it'd be criminal to paint them black. What's the thoughts on the colour scheme for the club and these?

The inverted curve actually adds 2 inches to the side panels so the horn is a little longer. The center of the curve however is the same measurement the plans call for.

Thanks 88 but I think I'm going to duratex them black since it will fit in with the clubs decor.. I do want to try a nice finish on some cabs after I'm done with all this.. I just built a Theater in my basement that I might work some DR's and tubas into..

Holly sh!t I sanded my butt off today! 1/4 rounded all the edges and pushed them into the paint booth! Monday will be a fun day :hyper:

Also this pic shows I added a 1/4" top and bottom panels to hide the back halves.. I figured the extra weight wasn't going to kill me since these will be permanently installed..

How is that Festool saw treating you? I've been thinking of getting one for my shop. Anything I should look out for?

Honestly jrey I dont use it a lot but I did own the Grizzly track saw and this one blows it away.. Its very accurate and has very minimal tear out if any.. The dust collection is top notch!

How many hours are there in your day?

You must wear latex gloves - I would think gold isn't as good as wood and paper for speaker cabs, Mr Midas.

If not latex gloves get a scrub pummus piece that people use to clean their calluses. It is the only way I can get paint or PL off my hands and well I'd rather not have black all over my hands when I go to work :). BTW I admire your build like the rest of us (forum members).

P.S. what happened to the "paint booth Monday"? I'm drooling over these soon to be painted cab pics!

haha I def keep myself busy.. I usually tackle one big project at a time and then immediately start another. I've been having a hard time building this club and putting my fleet of speakers together at the same time :( . I did manage to prime the insides of my DR's but torn between spraying or rolling the Duratex..
