reso would be SICKKK! sept opening date I would also suggest Sleeper (chestplate) as i know he's looking for some US dates between then and dec.
the one good thing about underground dubstep is the big names in the scene are prettttty cheap. can cop THE legends for 3k (with the exception of skream who dont even do dubstep anymore, and probably benga) or less usually lol. (mala, Coki, Hatcha, youngsta, Kode 9, Distance, etc)
god I just get giddy every time I think of hearing some of my fav artists on that system.
this one is just a few hz too low for my t48s.. comes in around 29 I believe. should be able to pressurize your whole block with this come the first sound check lollll.

I just joined there Facebook page! I'm going find a way to get them in the doors!!
It's just one fella, Alex Melia. He's given away a stack of free music on his site http://reso-music.com/ he's not massive by any stretch which is madness when you consider his production talent so you should be able to cop him for not much coin and earn yourself some underground cred. As Sine says too if you're really feeling a bass night get the oldschool legends out. I'm sure they'd love a chance to rinse a system like the one you're creating.
Resident Advisor says this about Reso:
Reso is simultaneously moving a whole spectrum of electronic genres forward while further cementing his place as the overlord of hi-tech dubstep. With Reso wobble, hypercrunk, breaks, wonky, hip-hop and D n B all receive the treatment. Reso’s deep musicality, incredible skill, intricate programming and wildly diverse references place him at the peak of a new breed of electronic producers.

I'll keep you guys posted on this grand dubstep night! I just sent a message on Facebook to Bassic Boston and Reso. I'm trying to find out who they use to promote and start there.
Today I got a haalf a day in and got some stuff done that I've been anxious to tackle. I got all the PVC cut up today using this simple jig.
went pretty quick after that.
and they fit like a glove.

I want to get your opinions. I cut the top and bottoms slightly longer because I knew I want to put a curve in it instead of straight. Unless Bill objects to this what do you guys think? Should I curve it this way or the opposite way?
I figured Id cure a mesh grill over the tweeters to match it?

http://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewt ... 26&t=14987 This will give you an idea of the finished look (DR200s). I've never seen one with a reverse curve- it would probably look pretty mean IMO. Acoustically not a big deal.

Oooh I like that! Thanks Rick! Maybe I'll reverse the curve since he already did it the other way. That def looks sweet tho, thanks for the link.

haha, they do dance. thats one of the deeper "system" tunes though, def a late night track, when everyone's ready to be immersed in bass.

I just noticed Reso is in the UK.. I wonder if hes planning an US trip soon? I think I'll message him. Hopefully I can find a local promoter, this could be spectacular show.

OOOh SHIT YEAH
I'm 31, married and still totally lose control when I'm at a DUBSTEP show. Some call it 'The Lean' in Sydney. If the drop (perhaps bro-step territory, I'm no purist) is angry enough we get full circles of death going - generally reserved for death metal and post hardcore gigs its a modern day gladiator experience. Blood and stretchers are not uncommon, along with lightweight 18 to 21 year old girls that have a go just as hard
Good track for inciting chaos 'Wake Up Call' Steve Aoki DATSIK remix
or a track closer to my home
'Lose Control' Shock One
Back to the thread.... Most epic build thread EVER

not trying to derail this even more, but any interest in making a new thread to include pics of all your amazing jigs? I'm sure many of us would LOVE to emulate your build tyl, esp those of us looking to build large numbers of cabs (I might be building 6 T60s by mid august), and also might be upgrading from ot12s to dr280s lol.

If I was allowed into the continental United States I'd be going to your opening night! Wife reckons we need a holiday.. I want to build more speakers though!
Very impressive build, your story is every bit impressive too. Will you put an everything else thread of your clubs coming together? Would be interesting

All Fight Club jokes apart, this is slightly worrying.

Hey sine I could make a new thread strictly for jigs.. I can also email them to you as well if you'd like? I'll be back in the shop tmrw and I'll snap some pics of them.
Sorry for slower progress.. Been kind of busy. Tmrw I'll be back at it! Meanwhile I got all the sides and PVC installed last night. Sanded and filled all the screw holes as well.
