Haha!
Thanks Tom.

Enjoy your build. Looking forward to the pictures, etc..

Things are progressing.
The 2 new cabs have been up to the horn sheaths on, just before Christmas.
One module has been completed, including nacelles, though I'm going to look at revisiting the nacelles I put on, as a couple have cracked while drilling.
I have an idea about using some different material to make them, and if it pans out, I'll share.
Regarding the nacelles, when I built the first pair, I could not fathom what was in the plans when compared to the result in sketchup.
A light bulb moment on this build; the nacelle is the only three dimensional image in the entire plans.
Suddenly they made sense...

Hi Grant,
Where are you getting your ⅛ inch/3mm, ¼ inch/6mm and ½ inch/12mm plywood from to build the cabs? I am currently in Townsville QLD and having issues tracking down 3mm and 6mm sheets.

Have you looked here? I haven't since I am not familiar with the country, but you might find something.

Bunnings mate.
I bought it all a few years back.
All the ply I use is radiata pine ply.
Bunnings website tells me I can find, in Townsville,
3mm project panel 2440 x 1220 @ $26.45
7mm structural CD 2400 x 1200 @ $34.12 (1/4" is nominally 6.4mm, so what's 0.6mm between friends.)
My go to 12mm is the non structural C/C+ 2440 x 1220 @ $38.84

Progress and proof lol.
Waiting on some inductors to complete the filters.
Then cab 1 can be sealed up.
Cab 1 weighs about 48 pounds. These "feel" heavier than the melded array versions.
Cab 2 is painted, yet to finish module, then both will get a grille with foam backing.

Those look really good Grant! I wish I put side handles on mine. What kind of CD did you go with?

Thanks CO,
I’ve gone with some locally available bolt ons, 80W handling.
ASD 1001B’s aren’t available locally!
The handles are also local, and are only 3/8” deep, so I routed out a bed for them and no hole in the inside either
Oh and for those who haven't thought of it, the handles are put in with pop rivets, just like one would with a road case...

A little more progress, getting closer.
The original pair needed matching up, and retrofitting T nuts for the brackets.
They got a recoat as well.

I haven't used it but it looks to me like it makes them all landscapes, so that's how you should create them.

Uh huh.
After a trial, ended up rotating them 4 times x 90 degrees each, hit save, and they stayed that way.
Go figure

I'm calling these done.
I still have some work to do on one of the original cabs, and a second set of brackets, but all the cabs are built, stitched up and functioning...
