Well, I am building a couple of Otops for the main tops, so maybe a DR300 (and a couple of T60s) for the monitor

I never have my monitor that loud. I just have it on the floor next to me pointing up and I just need to hear it over the other speakers - it doesn't have to overpower it. Hence why I was thinking WH10

I don't need a big sub either for monitoring. For mixing, I don't really think I need much <100, if any, which keeps leading me back to the WH10! I was thinking of the WH8 for portability, but I feel that it wouldn't quite have enough bass (after reading up on it).

One can safely assume anyone who thought that was a logical arrangement wouldn't know a Hz from a dB.

No matter where you are in the venue you'll get all the bass you need from the subs, so there's no point in having a monitor that runs lower than what the tops do.

I know the monitor setup i described is far from ideal, and would be in no way my choice. But i still would think a fullrange signal including bass without any delays comming from FOH and processing would be ideal.

FYI We have used a 15" Wharfdale active wedge in the past and it was perfect for what we needed. Something like this (but not this):

I'm still haven't found out what are the recommended drivers for the WH10! Can anyone enlighten me please?

On a totally different note, what are the driver options for a Wedgehorn 10 please? I have just realised that I will need a monitor for my birthday free party (26th May - which is the rig's first outing), so I am thinking a WH10 will do the job nicely, but I need to plan and cost it out to add it into my budget. I therefore need to know what driver is best for the WH10.

The recommended woofer is the Eminence Deltalite II 2510. Less expensive options are the Eminence Basslite S2010 and Beta 10.

I have to admit when I read your post I lol till my wife had to ask what was so funny. I can just see logging in one day and seeing Mr.Butler just flying off the handle and giving someone a good tongue lashing Australian style. I watched a traveling Aborigine go ape shit on a TSA worker at the Chicago airport a few years back over a can of Coke. It was the best show of verbal bashing that I have ever seen in person. We only understood about every third word that was spoken but we knew for sure that the others were plenty naughty. So Let It Rip, You can blame it on cultural differences and we wont hold it against you.

I must say that I have been a huge fan of Australian's ever since. Go Australia!

Ahhh Bruce, it's like you know me well enough.
However, I've been called much worse than Butler, and answered.

It's taken me a long time to work out that you need to size up who you're throwing invective at, or be able to fight very well. Being vertically challenged (I call myself short wheel based, therefor more stable) and supposedly intelligent, you'd think I'd have learned faster.
