Yeah... I'm still trying to work out exactly why a driver must take an 8 ohm load, and what actually determines those reasons. Just going through product catalogs, and reading manufacturers specs is a bit daunting, because they report on a lot of parameters that I have little to no knowledge on. I'm figure I'll start to pick it up once I've been around the forums a bit more.

If you plan it out well, you can do an awful lot on a single. amp. I'm currently running two T39's (3012LF-loaded) off one side and four DR200's (with 16-ohm DeltaPro drivers) off the other side. Have run them off of XTi-4000 and XTi-2000 in the past, and currently have a QSC PLX1804. My wiring is all parallel with speakons. Speakon from amp to first sub and speakon from first sub to second sub. Same with the tops, but there are four daisy chained together.
