I think you are worrying unnecessarily, you are using a 15" driver which I believe is rated at around 400W.
Being a 15" it is less affected by problems such as Xmax and heat build up that a smaller driver would otherwise be.
You know for a fact that the amp is said to be rated at 450W p/ch into 8 which means about 400W into 10. So you are not overpowering the speaker by any means
Is the clip light on the yamaha a "clip" or a "protect" (does it have a built in limiter?)
If so, you just need to work out how to set up your mix so the clip light barely flashes.
The only way you would blow that driver is if the clip light is on constantly, the odd bit of clipping on bass is not going to kill a driver - its much more of a concern for a HF driver.
If you were using a smaller driver there may be a little more cause for concern but providing you watch your rig you shouldnt have any problems
