Had some wood shops recommend a bulk distributor that runs a route here called Wurthbaer. They changed from Baltic Birch to Vietnamese Birch, which has mixed reviews online. Sounds like trash to me. They use plantation wood like eucalyptus or rubber wood for the core with birch outer layers, more than likely just thin veneer. Buyer beware. Is this the Asian Birch you have referred to Bill?

Not specifically, but the climate in Vietnam couldn't be more different than that in Northern Europe, so...
