Driver question for titan 39. We are going with a pair of 12 inch drivers for 2 separate cabinets. These are going in a small church 40 x 60 or about 2,400 sq feet permanently fixed mounted.
My question is on what drivers to order. Choices are: Delta 12lfa, Kappalite 3012 lf, lab 12 and s2012. Also, there are some Eminence Impero 12a Pro at a discount.
please advise. Also, please comment if you think 2 cabinets are too much. These will be running with a pair of SLA pro with 4 drivers.

2 cabs with 3012LF.
Before you permanently mount them - be sure to learn about proper sub placement.....it truly makes a difference.

+1
Sub placement in a room can make or break an otherwise well thought out system.
Please feel free to ask placement questions if you have them. What you think it "should look like" is, in many
many MANY cases, the worst place to put them.

Yep. Subs are like real estate. What matters most is location, location and location.

Is there a section / tutorial in the forum that describes proper sub placement?

Thanks for the link Bill, apparently, my wife uses the same snake comment. Also, I learned there is a plethora of misinformation about sub placement on the internet, - thanks for the link. The facility is a small church - 2400 sq feet. Due to space constraints, it seems like the best option will be one larger T39 as opposed to to two smaller sub's poorly located. What seemed like a good spot for the second sub is definitely not good ( on the same state about 15 feet apart). One potential good spot for the 2nd sub would require removing some seats. Again, thanks for the info!

Why can't you put the subs side-by-side? If there's a stage, they can lay down in front of the stage. Or, they could be corner loaded, wall-loaded, etc. There are a lot of options.

Hi Bruce,
Problem is stage is small so there is space for one t39. Also, the entire church room is 2400 sq ft. There isn't room in the stage corner for two t39's. The optimum spots would require removal of seating.
Instead of two 20 inch t39's we will try 1 24 inch cabinet. It will still be light years better than the current setup.

A little outside the box thinking for ya, food for thought... subs don't have to be on the floor nor in the front of a room. Properly bracketed and anchored into studs/concrete/brick, they can be mounted on a wall against the ceiling and be painted to match the wall color. If you have a drop ceiling, they can be mounted completely out of sight in the space above the ceiling tiles. These options eliminate taking up floor space and minimize visual impact. Many times, even mounted in a rear corner of a room (ceiling or floor) can provide excellent results too.

I'm not talking about putting the sub on the stage, but in front of it. You really don't want it on the stage. So, in front or to the side. If the stage is kinda' low, you can build two narrow subs that laying down will be the same height as the stage as long as it's at least 14 inches high.

Hi Bruce, I will measure the distance of where there is space to put the subs. And post. I prefer two subs, but was worried about wrong positioning causing conflict.

Minor blunder. When I ordered the parts for the SLA pro, I only ordered 4 tweeters instead of 6. Will it still sound good, or should I add the two additional tweeters?

I'd add 'em. They're cheap and you're increasing the high end by 50%.
