In regards to my comment on the Behringer NX1000D possibly needing a fan replacement. Seth wrote...
I have no complaint about the fan at all, in mine. I've never noticed it. But, also haven't specifically listened for it either. The amp sits about 5 feet from where people are in the room, in direct line of sight.

I powered up the NX1000D and was SHOCKED at the jet fighter afterburner sound of the fan in that thing. I should have measured the dBs! I replaced the fan with something that is almost silent.

Alright! I have some build progress to share. These are looking great. Might be done tomorrow.

I decided to front mount the drivers/tweeters on the front baffle. I could have rear-mounted or I could have counter-bored for the driver frame. Either of these solutions added some difficulty that I was willing to address....but I love the raw look of the front-mount option.

Hey All,

I finished these a few weeks back, but had some work travel and other projects which got in the way of playing with them.

You can see in the back are two JBL Eons, flown on an adjustable system so I can move/tilt/angle them. It's super low-tech....but works well.

I am still moving the SLAs around the room and listening and adjusting DSP delay, etc.

I gotta say, they really compliment where the JBLs fall short. Thanks again for the tips and info on getting these done right.
