LEDs need DC power and the amps delivers AC.
So you need a extra circuit for the LEDs.

I had wondered the same thing a few times over the years, but never got serious enough about it to figure it out. I assume it would require a full bridge rectifier, a polarized capacitor, and a 5 voltage regulator. I have no idea what that load would present to the amplifier and if there would be any considerable downside. I do have some cheapo passive speaker cabs with an LED light that comes on, brighter with more power.
